Combine Wind and/or Solar Power
We provide a unique system to combine wind and/or solar power with our diesel generators. By applying the reliability of diesel generators in a smart way, it maximizes renewable power utilization and minimizes diesel fuel consumption.
The fitted diesel engine has the unique ability to ‘low-load’ while also having ‘low fuel’ consumption. It would be best achievable by setting operation range closer between ‘average’ wind/solar energy generation and ‘average’ energy demand on a location as the annual fuel savings will then be highest.
The diesel generator reaches operation at low level when wind/solar generates closer to the load demand level, consuming a few liter fuel per hour or even zero fuel. The diesel engine stops when wind/solar produces above the demand level (or when demand drops). The precise load controller secures a dynamic load balance between wind/solar energy fluctuations and variations in energy demand when the generator is in low operation or when the engine is stopped.
We provide integrated diesel generators rated capacities between 100 and 1,600 kWe per 40ft container. Those power containers modularly can be extended up to 15 containers or 24 MW.
Our first project, which is up and running the wind/diesel hybrid power, capacity of 500kW, located at Ayeyarwady region since 2012. Realized diesel saving is about 70%.

How it works
Generator engines are typically governed and therefore must maintain the same RPM at times, when an alternative energy (the gas) is introduced to the governed engine there is simply less energy(or power) required to be delivered by the engine’s diesel governor.
- This allows PLC system to control precisely the amount of gas being introduced to the engine and in doing so enable lower quantities of diesel to be used to Provide the power.
- The diesel engine principal does not change – the engine is still dieseling and the diesel fuel is required to provide 30% of the engine power, parts lubrication, cooling and as an ignition source for the gas.
The highest quality and fully automated PLC system solution ensures that all key engine safety parameters are met at all times. Should any engine parameters move towards a maximum limit, the amount of gas will automatically decrease and adjust itself and should any of the engine manufacture’s parameters be exceeded for any reason, gas is immediately stopped and the engine continues to operate on 100% diesel without any interruption of the power supply.
- By this principle PLC system achieves the highest Possible gas/ diesel ratio.
Gas/Diesel Dual Fuel System will safely maximize the use of any available combustible gas, i.e. natural gas, waste gas, landfill gas, coal gas, LNG, LPG.
Depending on the type of engine typical gas/ diesel ratios after conversion are up to 70% gas/30% diesel. There are additional factors which can also affect gas/ diesel ratios such as: engine condition, ambient weather conditions at the site, site load variability, and gas quality.
